Dr. Gabriel Mitroi
Endometriosis Surgeon
Dr Gabriel Mitroi is a consultant gynecologist oncologist and laparoscopic surgeon. With 15 years of medical activity, Dr. Mitroi has advanced knowledge of pelvic anatomy and an extensive experience in endometriosis surgery. His surgical abilities also extend to once-gynecology, knowing how to treat malignant gynecological pathologies. Dr. Mitroi specializes in robotic surgery and is the only surgeon in the country who performs pudendal nerve decompression surgery by laparoscopic and robotic approach.
He graduated with honors in 2003, from the University of Pharmacy and Medicine, Carol Davila, Bucharest. After his graduation, he spent 5 years as a medical resident training under different specialties and learning various surgical skills. After finishing his residency training, he completed training courses in laparoscopy, urogynecology, onco-gynecology and robotic surgery.
Due to his professional interest in the field of endometriosis (one of the most complex medical pathologies) and the large number of cases treated, Dr. Mitroi founded in 20218 the first integrated center in Bucharest for the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis, where he offers specialized treatment to patients from all over the world.

Dr. Alin Burlacu

Dr Burlacu graduated in 1991 from the University of Medicine in Bucharest. He is an obstetrician gynecologist with special training in ultrasounds, colposcopy, onco-gynecology laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and endometriosis surgery.
Dr. Burlacu takes pride in his job; the well-being of his patients is of paramount importance to him and his patients describe him as being “one of the nicest and down to earth doctors they ever met”. His care and attention for his patients’ needs are second to none.
Dr. Augustin Dima

He graduated from the Faculty of Military Medicine in 2005 and spent 2 years training in France. He holds a special training in pancreatic and hepato-biliary surgery for advanced cancer. A military by formation, Dr. Dima values discipline and stops at nothing until he gets the job done. He performs complex surgeries that are considered inoperable. Dr. Traian Irimia is specialist gynaecologist specialized in obstetrics-gynaecology.

Dr. Cristina Badea

Dr. Badea is part of Bucharest Endometriosis Centre team based at Wellborn. Dr Badea plays a crucial part in the safety of the medical act, being responsible for the total preoperative care of patients before, during and after surgery.
She graduated in 2002 and has special training in level 1-2 general ultrasound and loco-regional anaesthesia. Her role is quite wide combining knowledge and experience in anaesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine and pain medicine.
Dr. Sabrina Florea

Dr. Florea graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 2015. In 2023 she obtained the title of specialist in general surgery. Having surgical experience from years of residency at the “Carol Davila” Military Hospital, but also alongside big names in general surgery, Dr. Florea performs complex surgical interventions, including minimally invasive ones. Dr. Florea is part of the multidisciplinary team and participates both in the evaluation and discussion of cases within the “Tumor Board”, being at the same time the main surgeon in cases with digestive disorders.

Between 2016 and 2022, she completed her residency both at the “Carol Davila” Military Hospital and at the Bucharest Endometriosis Center. Dr. Stancu works closely with Dr. Augustin Dima, being guided by him throughout her residency. Thus, upon obtaining the title of specialist doctor, at the beginning of 2023, Dr. Stancu became one of the main surgeons in oncological-gynecological interventions. Dr. Livia Stanciulescu
Radiologist MRI for endometriosis
Graduate of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Carol Davila, Bucharest in 2008, Dr Stanciulescu is a primary physician in Radiology and Medical Imaging, with competencies in Computerized Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Dr. Stanciulescu has attended training courses in France and England and she does around 3000 examinations annually for oncological and gynecological conditions. She has a special interest in endometriosis, and is one of the few specialists in MRI with protocol for endometriosis.
Dr. Stanciulescu devised a very efficient protocol regarding endometriosis. She has extensive knowledge of the disease and a very good insight into what the endometriosis surgeon needs to know in order to organize the surgery protocol.
Dr. Stanciulescu has excellent communication skills and treats every patient with kindness and compassion. She understands the struggle of endometriosis patients and with great care and tenderness she establishes a relationship with them based on trust and communication.
